Shanksville Volunteer Fire Department

Station 627 broke ground in late August for a 40 by 50 feet addition to its existing station. The addition will add much needed space for apparatus and firefighters gear. The department is being assisted by the State Corrections Work Release Program. Chief Terry Shaffer said " The work release program will save our station thousands of dollars during this project and their workmanship is wonderful."
