Shanksville Volunteer Fire Department

The Shanksville Volunteer Fire Department hosted an Emergency Vehicle Operators Course(EVOC) the last week of April. Nineteen firefighters from Shanksville, Listie and Boswell Fire Co./Dept.(s) attended the class taught by State Fire Instructor, Dale Russian. Shanksville Chief Terry Shaffer said, "The class gives our drivers the opportunity to practice safe driving techniques in preparation for actual emergency driving." The major emphasis of the class was on safe driving practices under emergency response situations.
