Steel from World Trade Center to be Brought to Shanksville Firehouse

A section of steel from the North Tower of the World Trade Center is going to be coming to the Shanksville Fire Station. Sunday August 24th at 10:00 a.m. the cross shaped steel beam will process from Somerset and end up, a permanent memorial in Shanksville. Ret. Lt. Paddy Concannon of the Family Transport Service of the F.D.N.Y.  has directed the process of getting the steel to Shanksville. Paddy said that the memorial will unite the two fire departments which both were involved in the tradgedy of 9/11. Bringing the steel will be part of a benefit motorcycle run with proceeds going to the FDNY Family Transport Service. See more at www.firefamilytransport.org
